There was a baby boy who born in a fox hole on “the cliff edge of the river” which in Balinese called “Tangkid”, so his parents named him “Si Tangkid”, later known as Dr. (HC) Jro Gede Karang Tangkid Suarshana MBA, who were eager to see Balinese People life improve and prosperous.

PT Suartur has been established more than 30 years ago under the license of Suar Nusa Jaya Tours, the founder is Dr (hc). Jro Gede Karang T Suarshana, MBA is a long passion Balinese man in a tourism industry roots. He’s been acknowledged as one of tourism practitioner in Bali, with years of experiences as tour guide, a teacher, active in local organizations, travel and hospitality business entrepreneurs.
In the development of the tourism, Jro Gede Karang always emphasizes to recover its unique cultural character and focus on village ‐ based tourism in order to improve the economic status of the Balinese people “It doesn’t matter if such (village ‐ based) investments have small profits, the dollars produced will go directly to many people”. Managing director of Bali Tropic Hotel, and some other retreats in Bali and Gili Trawangan, including his own high quality transportation company, always has the passion to keep Suartur moving forward with the local spirit and bring a new vision ”Innovation”, Customized, Personalized, Sophisticate” and mission “Connect People To The Local Experiences and Nature Wander … “ for Bali and other islands of Indonesia.
